Minimum Microfilm Resolution Formula
Minimum acceptable microfilm resolution equals the camera's minimum lines/mm divided by its reduction ratio, for planetary and rotary cameras.
The minimum acceptable film resolution is calculated with a simple formula: the camera's minimum Lines/mm divided by the camera reduction ratio.
Highlights
| Camera type | Formula | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Planetary and Camera Sorter | 125 Lines/mm ÷ reduction ratio | 125 ÷ 24X = block 5.2 or the nearest block |
| Rotary | 100 Lines/mm ÷ reduction ratio | 100 ÷ 24X = block 4.1 or the nearest block |
